COR South Africa

In 1996, Independent Oilfield Rentals (IOR) was formed in South Africa, to primarily support 3 offshore rigs owned by Soekor and Mossgas.  IOR managed and maintained assets and equipment for the 3 rigs, and when Soekor and Mossgas eventually sold the rigs, IOR were able to retain the equipment.  Recognising South Africa as an area for growth, COR established an office in Cape Town through the acquisition of IOR in December 2004, to become COR South Africa, to date, the first and only dedicated rental company in South Africa.

Regional Manager for Africa Colin Clark leads a 10 strong team of staff, (many of which are local to the area).  The team have provided services to clients in the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania and Angola in the past, but since the formation of COR Ghana; they are now able to primarily focus on the Southern and Eastern regions of Africa.

We are proud to say that COR South Africa have stayed the course where other rental providers have come and gone over the years, this clearly demonstrates COR’s commitment to the African region.  The COR South Africa facility boasts a large volume of inventory to improve availability to clients that reinforces its commitment.  In addition, COR South Africa have also diversified to provide internal management support services for offshore drilling rigs.
